Glossary

Terms and Vocabulary used during the rest of the documentation.

POL

Protocol Owned Liquidity. This referes to the capitial that is owned and controled by a protocol, and can be used to the benefit of the protocol, instead of waiting for liquidity providers to enter the markets.

DAO

Decentralized Autonomous Organization. This refers to and organization that is controlled by its members and its rules clearly outlined and in-forced with code.

LP

Liquidity Position. This refers to to a bundle of two assets that serve as liquidity in that market. Common examples are ETH/USDC or DAI/USDC LPs where the LP's hold a ratio of the two underlying tokens.

ROI

Return on Investment. This is usually a % return on an initial capital investment. This can either be an immediate return on investment or a recurring return over time.

ICO

Initial Coin Offering. This refers to a form of raising capital where an entity will offer to sell their tokens at either a market or preset value to fund their activities growth.

VC

Venture capital. This refers to the type of investors that invest in early stages of projects and companies, usually during raises. They can also be know to invest in the markets depending on their mission. Overall they are an investment group/entity.

Maturity

Maturity refers to the date the bond expires. This is when the user(bonder purchaser) has received the totality of their tokens, on the maturity day.
